Picking Chickens

Diana's mention of "picking flowers" in her meditation last week (which got me over the hump because when she suggested I pick some flowers in her meditation I put my heels in... until she said they were "picking flowers, made just for picking". It helped me to accept and move forward.

So these chickens... these precious meat chickens who only live 2 months before they are either butchered for meat or suffocated by their own bodies (as their meat/muscles get so big that it strangles their organs)... these are designed as "picking chickens". I don't really feel aligned to supporting the breed but they do grow fast and make good meat. I wish I didn't have to eat meat, God. 

It's so hard. We got our first meat chickens in March 2018. I guess this is the 4th year. I've hidden from the slaughter time each year, closing my ears. I HAVE helped pluck, in 2019. But now we borrow this plucker and it makes the job much easier. Michael is a powerhouse and doesn't mind the job, I guess.

I've prayed over the chickens each year but this year Michael asked me to carry them to him and at first I said I couldn't, but now I feel like it's a call to be responsible for my participation. I DO eat them. I prayed with them and did the "safe passage" meditation with them. But now, soon, I'm going to carry them to their deaths. This is traumatizing, potentially. Or possibly a way to collapse some timelines related to blood sacrifice and false deity worship. 

Most importantly I want to LOVE THEM well. I need to learn compassion and kindness and empathy... I need to get over the Luciferian Abyss.
